BioLogiQ products are the evolution of Thermoplastic Starch (TPS) blending with legacy resins helping plastic products become more sustainable and planet-friendly. We offer a range of plant-based options for manufacturers to create more eco-friendly products and reduce plastic pollution. Here are some of our plant-based grades you may find valuable.
BioBlend® XP 22250 is a high-performance resin made with 50% NuPlastiQ® content and HDPE, designed for blown film applications. This hybrid material enhances the sustainability profile of end products in several ways.
BioBlend® XP 24250 is a high-performance resin made with 50% NuPlastiQ® content compounded with mLLDPE, designed for blown film applications. This hybrid material enhances the sustainability profile of end products in several ways.
BioBlend® XP 24850 is a high-performance resin made with 50% NuPlastiQ® content compounded with LLDPE octene, designed for blown film applications. This hybrid material enhances the sustainability profile of end products in several ways.
BioBlend® XP 24875 is a high-performance resin made with 50% NuPlastiQ® compounded with 20% HDPE and 30% LLDPE, designed for blown film applications. This hybrid material enhances the sustainability profile of end products in several ways.
BioBlend® XD 25052 is a high-performance resin made with 50% NuPlastiQ® content compounded with polypropylene, designed for injection molding and extrusion applications. This hybrid material enhances the sustainability profile of end products in several ways.
BioBlend® BC 27124 is a biopolymer resin made with 30% NuPlastiQ® content compounded with PBAT, designed for compostable applications such as mulch film. By integrating NuPlastiQ®, this BioBlend® provides end products with a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional alternatives and encourages circularity through expanding compostable product offerings.
Products that contain NuPlastiQ® (a 100% plant-based resin) have an increased biodegradation rate across various environments, including salt-water marine. Unlike OXO-degradable, NuPlastiQ® does not use a catalyst to accelerate abiotic degradation and instead utilizes microbial activity to create conditions that lower the polymer’s molecular weight at the surface area. When the molecular weight is reduced enough to be biologically assimilated, the cycle begins again at the newly exposed surface area. This technology has the potential to reduce the environmental persistence of plastic pollutants from centuries to years or decades.
BioLogiQ’s patented process disperses NuPlastiQ® uniformly at the sub-micron level, an advancement over conventional TPS starch products that allows increased biodegradation of the final formula. Factors such as material thickness and NuPlastiQ® content influence biodegradation outcomes.
By integrating NuPlastiQ®, this BioBlend® reduces plastic content, mitigates microplastic generation, and provides end products with a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional alternatives.
ASEAN+3
BioLogiQ creates sustainable plastics solutions, led by NuPlastiQ®, a biopolymer that enhances the marine biodegradability of traditional plastics without means of a catalyst. NuPlastiQ®-enhanced resins retain expected material properties until leaked into the environment, reducing ocean waste and supporting global sustainability goals.
