Smart Plastics are HHI’s customisable material made out of recycled plastics. This product is designed to save, cost, time, reduce waste, and protect the ocean. The Smart Plastics are available in many colors with many features, making them fully customisable to fit all sorts of applications. The industries served by HHI’s Smart Plastics include gardening, household, poultry, industrial handling, automotive, home appliance, and construction.
HHI also utilizes a greener production process as their manufacturing process is done through a single, streamlined supply chain. HHI sources Smart Plastics material from two types of recyclable plastics: Plashaus and Plashaus Ocean. Plashaus is sourced from post-consumer recycled plastics before they end up in landfills or the ocean, while Plashaus Ocean is sourced from plastics that are at high risk of entering the ocean if not collected in time, which includes plastic waste from shoreline, rivers, banks, or landfills.
HHI also devised a Traceability Programme, which allows users to trace the plastic source of their product. This program also allows third party entities to verify that HHI’s material is recycled from waste plastic found in the vicinity of marine and riverine environments.
