Training on mangroves ecosystem services and sustainable management

In Okinawa, under the MOEJ program, IDEA Consultant with the collaboration of ERIA RKC-MPD conducted a week-long training program with the objectives to:

1. Deepen the National Park (conservation area) system to learn about Mangrove area protection and management 

2. Learn about the PPP cases to utilize Mangrove area as means to revise local economy (eco-tourism etc) 

3. Understand multifaceted functions (including ecosystem services) of Mangrove forests and learn the latest measures to safeguard those functions 

4. Learn the environmental challenges that coastal areas face and acquire knowledge on coastal area conservation and management
