ERIA, IGES, and CCET have set out to establish ERIA’s Experts Working Group on Marine Plastic Debris under the Regional Knowledge Centre, bringing together researchers with knowledge and expertise applicable to the ASEAN context. The ultimate goal of the Experts Working Group is to inform the formal regional policy making process through the Regional Knowledge Center platform and by extension inform a global marine plastic process.
This year the Regional Knowledge Centre is organizing the 5th Meeting of the Experts Working Group. The meeting will be focused on 3 primary areas: (1) Knowledge sharing, (2) Policy instruments development, and (3) Data, tools, technologies, and monitoring.
